About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the North-East's leading and fastest growing IT service organisations. As a member of the Data and Business Intelligence team this role will be focused on developing and maintaining our Business Intelligence portfolio, which centres around Microsoft SQL Server for data processing and Power BI for visualisation and consumption.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

As a Senior BI Developer, you will be required to have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in similar role for 3+ years
  • Experience working with relational databases, query authoring (MS-SQL)
  • Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Experience with SSAS Cube and Data Warehousing solutions, including SQL Service Analysis Services
  • Experience with Power BI reports
  • Highly numerate with a good eye for detail
  • A confident communicator who can advise, train and support colleagues where necessary

Although no formal qualifications are essential for this role, candidates with a strong academic record in numerate disciplines are preferred.

Location and Working Arrangements

The position offered is based out of Aspire’s Gateshead Head Office on Pipewell Gate. However, you may, on occasion, be required to work at customer locations throughout the UK.

Reporting Lines

The role will report directly to the Application Manager and will be part of the Data and Business Intelligence team which is part of the wider Development Team.

Hours of Work

The hours of employment are 37.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday.  Flexible working hours can be agreed as long as the core hours of 10am to 4pm are covered.
